Having A Wash
Having a wash means cleaning our bodies to remove dirt and smells.
Our skin gets dirty through the day. Often we can not see this dirt but it is there. This is normal for everyone. After a while this can make us smell and this can be uncomfortable for other people.
Having a wash can help us stay clean and fresh. Most people have a shower or a bath each day so they keep their bodies nice and clean.
Sometimes we might need other washes depending on what we have been doing. This might include:
an extra shower after swimming or playing a sport where we get dirty
washing our face after eating messy food
washing hands after doing a messy activity like painting
It is really important to wash each day to keep our skin healthy and clean. Washing helps to stop unpleasant smells that can make it uncomfortable for people around us.
