Helping all children become happy learners
Rating Scale Resources
Introduction
Rating scales can help children recognise, understand and communicate how they are feeling. They can also support children in identifying situations that affect their emotions and developing strategies to manage them. The following printable resources offer different ways of expressing feelings, including non-verbal approaches. Choose and adapt resources to suit the individual child's age, understanding, communication preferences and needs. Introduce and practise them when the child is calm, rather than expecting them to learn how to use a new scale during a difficult situation.
